An AU Naruto Roleplay
The curtain has fallen on the Third Shinobi World War, yet, to assert that an era of peace has dawned would be a gross exaggeration. Bereft of any true victors, the shinobi nations find themselves burdened by the weight of uncertainty, unsure of how long this fragile truce will endure. While a handful of nations cling to hopeful aspirations, the majority brace themselves for the inescapable specter of forthcoming strife. Within this tenuous political landscape, the shinobi world remains ensnared in the perpetual cycle of violence and hatred, its chains unbroken.
The Setting
Naruto: Crimson Lotus is a brand new Roleplay Forum, set in an alternate universe based on Masashi Kisimoto's Naruto. Our timeline is completely custom to our alternate universe, though we try to stick to the canon as best we can in terms of the setting. As such, we offer many canon clans, villages, jutsu, and more, however, we are more than encouraging of any custom applications that would fit within the setting for our players to utilize.
As we are a brand new site, we have many site canon positions open and available, including Kage's and Lords, Jinchuuriki, Sages, and more!
We pride ourselves on having character driven stories and a player impacted world, allowing you to use your creative freedom to effect the sites world at large depending on character action. Participate in missions, site events, or whatever else peaks your interest. Carve your own path in the world of Shinobi!
Rules & Mechanics
On NCL, we utilize a stat based system covering aspects of the Naruto databook. Our hope is that with a stat based system, these areas of expertise can help serve as bumper rails for what our player characters are capable of in comparison to other characters. These guidelines also serve to emphasize characters skill based on their current rank, showing where characters might need to improve, or where they excell or even surpass compared to their peers.
The staff of NCL try our hardest to make everything needed available for everyone to see, and clearly define our systems for everyones understanding. As such, we make an effort to avoid "unwritten rules" that our community should be expected to know without ever seeing the rule put into action. From our general rules, our systems and mechanics, to our how-to guides and new-member guide is front and center so you can jump into the roleplay with everything you need to know.
Community
As the site plot is primarily revolved around site events and player character activity, we pride ourselves on what our community has to offer. It is your input and creativity that drives our site, and we encourage our memberbase to be warm and welcoming for anyone and everyone who has an insterest in writing.
