We let our battles choose us
Amos was a tad bit lost... No, he was more than a tad bit. He was honestly going in circles. He had been at it for hours trying to figure out where to go. He was afraid to stray from the large body of water and go into the woods simply because he was afraid he'd get way more lost than he already was. He couldn't remember which direction he came from originally and this was because he got so distracted by the opportunity that was before him the second he spotted the lake and noticed there were fish in it... A lot of fish and he immediately had gotten started on catching as many fish as he could and filling his belly.
The gray wolf was getting frustrated. His temper wanted to flare but he tried not to have an outburst from the stress that was building on him from being lost and being confused. He knew he was on a packs turf and he was afraid of bumping into someone but he tried to put that at the back of his mind and focus more on the task at hand which was trying to find his way back to wherever he had originally come from.
Eventually Amos sat down, making a thud sound from how heavily and roughly he dropped his rump to the ground, and let out a long sigh that hinted to his annoyance with the situation. 'Where am I?' Amos wondered as he looked around himself with those dull grayish green eyes of his and almost looking as he just expected there to be one clear path leading to the way out of this packs territory. He almost laughed at himself for wishing it could be that easy to find where to go with big arrows pointing in the right direction for him.
He just didn't want to get caught and so he wanted a way out of this place quickly and try his best to stay low.
